Frequently Asked Questions
The Artwork
What is the story behind the artwork on your tees?
Our designs are sourced from original vintage artworks — rare pieces of history that deserve to be seen, not stored away. Our debut design features a work by Herbert Dick-see (1852–1942), one of Britain's most celebrated animal artists. Known for his dramatic, lifelike depictions of wildlife, Dick-see created works of extraordinary detail and emotional power.
What technique was used to create the original artwork?
The original is a copper etching — a traditional printmaking technique where an image is incised into a copper plate using acid, then inked and pressed onto paper. Copper etchings produce incredibly fine lines and tonal depth that simply cannot be replicated by modern digital illustration. The result is a richness and authenticity you can feel even through the print.
How old is the artwork?
The Herbert Dick-see etching featured on our debut tee dates to 1922 — over a century old. We work exclusively with vintage and antique source material, giving each piece genuine cultural provenance.
The Fabric
What fabric are your tees made from?
We use 300 GSM heavyweight cotton. GSM stands for grams per square metre — the higher the number, the denser and more substantial the fabric. At 300 GSM, our tees are noticeably heavier and more structured than standard fashion tees (which typically sit around 150–180 GSM ). They hold their shape wash after wash and feel premium from the first wear.
Why did you choose 300 GSM?
Because a century-old copper etching deserves a canvas worthy of it. Lightweight fabric doesn't do justice to the detail and depth of vintage artwork. Our heavyweight cotton gives the print a solid, gallery-quality base — and makes for a tee that lasts years
Limited Drops
How many pieces do you produce per design?
Each design is released in a strictly limited run of 50 pieces. There are no reprints and no restocks. Once a drop sells out its gone
Why only 50?
Rarity is part of what makes each piece meaningful. We want every person wearing a natural tee to know they're holding something genuinely uncommon — not a mass-produced item you'll see on every high street.
